A Formula 1 Solargraph uses light to generate and store the energy needed to power its quartz movement. The Calibre TH50-00 can recharge using natural or artificial light, offering up to ten months of autonomy when fully charged. Its rechargeable battery is designed to last for up to 15 years before replacement may be required.

A chronograph allows the wearer to measure elapsed time using the watch’s pushers and subdials. The precise display and available timing functions depend on the individual movement, with both quartz and automatic Formula 1 chronographs available.

Case sizes vary across the collection. Current designs include compact 38mm Formula 1 Solargraph watches alongside larger 43mm and 44mm chronographs. The best size will depend on your wrist, preferred weight and how prominently you would like the watch to sit.

Water resistance depends on the individual reference. Many Formula 1 Solargraph watches offer water resistance to 100 metres, while a number of quartz and automatic chronographs are rated to 200 metres. Always check the specifications of the individual watch before use in or around water.
