OMEGA Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon 44.25mm Watch

Honouring OMEGA’s pioneering role in space exploration, this Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon is crafted from polished and brushed grey ceramic, with a 44.25mm plasma-treated case and matching ceramic bezel. A laser-engraved tachymeter scale filled with white Super-LumiNova enhances both visibility and performance-inspired design.

The watch’s connection to the lunar surface is expressed through its extraordinary movement decoration. Laser-ablated detailing across the main plate and bridges recreates the moon’s terrain, visible from both sides of the watch. The near side is revealed through the skeletonised grey anodised aluminium dial, while the far side can be admired through the sapphire crystal caseback.

The dial features a small seconds display at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, and a 12-hour recorder at 6 o’clock. Greyed Moonwatch-style hands and bevelled indexes are filled with white Super-LumiNova, emitting a green glow in low light.

Powering the watch is the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3869. The caseback is engraved with the Apollo 8-inspired quote, “THE MOON IS ESSENTIALLY GREY”, spoken by Command Module Pilot Jim Lovell during the historic mission.

Completing the design is a grey rubber strap featuring a moon-surface pattern on the underside, secured by a ceramic foldover clasp with ceramised titanium frame-spring folders.
