The IWC Schaffhausen Ingenieur Automatic 40 reinterprets Gérald Genta’s iconic Ingenieur SL design of the 1970s, combining its distinctive aesthetic with modern engineering and craftsmanship. Crafted entirely from titanium, this model features a lightweight case, signature bezel and integrated H-link bracelet, secured by a butterfly folding clasp.

Designed for exceptional comfort, the 40mm case and newly engineered bracelet attachment have been refined to enhance wearability, ensuring an ergonomic fit on a wide range of wrist sizes. The iconic round bezel is secured with five functional polygonal screws, maintaining the unmistakable character of the Ingenieur collection.

The grey dial showcases the collection’s signature “Grid” pattern, formed by finely detailed lines arranged at right angles to create a striking sense of depth. Rhodium-plated hands and applied hour markers, both filled with luminescent material, provide excellent legibility in all conditions.

Powering the watch is the IWC-manufactured Calibre 32111, featuring a robust pawl-winding system and an impressive power reserve of up to 120 hours. Staying true to the Ingenieur’s technical heritage, a soft-iron inner case helps protect the movement from magnetic fields, while the 10-bar water-resistant case and redesigned crown protection reinforce its credentials as a versatile luxury sports watch for everyday wear.
