The moonlight grapes collection originates from the Art Nouveau period of the early 1900s. The iconic grape motif has been given a contemporary edge by focussing on the organic orb shape. The orb has connotations of power and regality, which aids Georg Jensen's aim to inspire beauty in the strong women who wear this collection.
Small bunches of grapes appear in many of Georg Jensen’s original silver pieces from the 1920s and the reinterpretation of this Art Nouveau detail into the totally contemporary Moonlight Grapes collection is a great example of both the innovation and craftsmanship of the house.
The earrings are crafted from 18 carat rose gold. They are suitable for pierced ears.
